2015 GNCC Racing Round 2

Tuesday, March 17, 2015 9:25:23 AM America/Denver

The 2015 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, headed to Washington, Georgia for round 2 at the annual "General" GNCC. The Maxxis/ B. Neal Motorsports machine was fired up and ready to tackle the mud after clouds opened up and let the rain pour. Rider Brycen Neal came around the first corner mid pack and sliced and diced to gain the 3rd place position by the time the pack hit the woods. The Maxxis B. Neal Motorsports pit crew made the decision to gamble and pit for fuel and goggles on lap 1. Neal lost several positions but by the time the pack had crossed the finish line he had worked his way back up to 5th position. Neal the very next lap made his way into 2nd place when the rest of the pack pitted for fuel. It seemed the pit strategy was going to pay off, but the average lap was between 32-34min each lap. Therefore Team Manager/ Mechanic Broc Booth calculated that a second pit stop must be made. "I got two pit boards heading into lap 3" Neal says. "One said McGill +47 seconds, the next one saying pit this lap." Read More

2015 GNCC Racing Round 1

Tuesday, March 17, 2015 9:24:04 AM America/Denver

03/7/15 The 2015 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series presented by Maxxis, an AMA National Championship, kicked off its 41st annual season on Saturday with the Moose Racing Wild Boar GNCC in Palatka, Florida. The Maxxis/ B. Neal Motorsports machine was tuned up and ready to take on the 11 mile course that was filled with deep sand ruts, whoops, and lots of palmetto roots. Rider Brycen Neal came around the first corner in second behind Adam McGill and finished lap one in fourth. "I got a good jump and just tried to settle in and ride a good pace on lap one,I had some nerves with it being the first round and a whole new program for this year so I was riding a little tight at the first of the race". Brycen had dropped to fifth at the halfway point but after the pit stop put his head down and was able to get into fourth at the checkers. "I made a mistake when Chris Borich and Walker Fowler caught up to me that cost me some time and caused me to lose touch with them I believe if I could have hooked on to there pace I would have been closer to the leaders at the finish but I'm going to learn from these and hopefully be closer to the top three very soon" Brycen explained . 2012 OMA Round 1

Friday, June 1, 2012 9:05:47 AM America/Denver

Team Epic Racing kicks off the 2012 Racing Season

Round one of the OMA Pro ATV Nationals kicked off in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Team Epic Racing
was poised to make their presence known as the first turn saw Moose Racing/Smith Optics/
Motion Pro supported Bryan Hulsey on the #2 bike off to a good 3rd place start and Bosch
Tools/Rekluse teammate John Pitts suffered a disappointing 7th place start . Both riders started
making a charge to the front, however by the end of lap two Vee Rubber/EBC Brakes sponsored
Bryan Hulsey was out with mechanical problems. John Pitts on his ODI Grips/JE Pistons backed
quad was still on the charge and worked his way to 3rd at the end of lap one. As the race wore
on Precision/Maier Mfg./Powermadd backed Pitts was struggling just a bit and by the end of
the day still managed to hold on to 5th place.

Duncan Racing/K&N Filters/
Hiper Wheels’ Bryan Hulsey was
off to a good 3rd place start in
Alabama, however on lap two a
broken Axle carrier sent him to the
sidelines as a spectator for the
remainder of the race.

2011 OMA Pro ATV Nationals Champion
John Pitts fought hard after a worse
than expected start, and managed to
salvage a respectable 5th place finish after a
two hour plus battle for his ARS-FX/Exit
shocks backed team.

Team Epic Racings Bryan Hulsey hits
the Podium at round one of the MOC (Mid-West Off-road Championship) set
in Lincoln, Missouri.

As the Starter board dropped on the first round of the 2012 MOC Series, Team Epic Racing’s
UM Performance/Pivot Works/Hotcams backed Bryan Hulsey kicked three times to fire his
Spider Graphics/Quad-Tech sponsored bike to enter the woods last for what was going to be a
long afternoon. As the two hour event went on, the Duncan Racing/Maxima Oils backed Hulsey
never let up and was able to show the competition the meaning of perseverance, and brought
home second place by passing all but one of the competitors in the inaugural series round one.

Determination and desire drove the Dirt Works
Motorsports/Cylinder Works/Hot Rods backed
Bryan Hulsey toward the front of the pack to finish
second in the first round of the 2012 MOC Series
near Lincoln, MO. A run in with a tree on the final
lap left Bryan with a sore and banged up throttle
hand after the race.

Team Epic Racings John Pitts Brings home the Top Honors at WFO Series race in
Plainview, Illinois

John Pitts decided to try out some races in surrounding areas to introduce Team Epic Racing
and their sponsors to riders that haven’t met them before. At the start of the WFO Series
Plainview, Illinois round, Kal-Guard/Barnett sponsored John Pitts entered the woods in second,
content to just follow for a couple of laps to lean the new circuit. A brief setback on lap one
meant he needed to mount a harder than anticipated charge to get himself back to the front of
the pack and eventually take over the lead with only 15 minutes remaining in the event.

John also tried a new adventure and rode his first Motorcycle XC event at Plainview, Illinois and
won the M/C C class and the Morning Overall. Next time he will probably move to the M/C B
Class to see if he can hang with the faster riders on 2-Wheels.

Duncan Racing/Dirt Works Motorsports/Liquid Performance
backed John Pitts showed why he is 2010-2011 OMA Pro-
ATVNationals Champion by coming from way behind to take
the win in Plainview, Illinois.
